My Paleo Kitchen Tools: My Wish List

Written by: Kristin Jekielek

This week I’ll cover the kitchen tools that will make Paleo cooking & baking easier, but that I haven’t purchased yet. I plan on purchasing all of these at some point. I think they’d be a great addition to any Paleo kitchen because

  • They’ll save time
  • They help get more variety out of the same foods you’re already eating

So without further ado, here is my wish list (*ahem*, I expect to be receiving these for Christmas, people):

  • Vitamix
  • Extra blades for food processor
  • Muffin Pan
  • Big Berkey Water Filter

As far as high end blenders go, I think Vitamix stands on top. After witnessing them in action, I’m impressed at how quickly they’ll liquefy just about anything edible.

I’d use it to create vegetable smoothies (I don’t juice because I want to eat the whole vegetable). You can even blend vegetables and cook them into soups - right in the Vitamix - if you let the motor run a bit and get hot. I think that’s pretty awesome.

Extra Blades for the Food Processor

To do even more slicing and dicing even faster, I want extra blades for my food processor. A thinner shredding blade would help me finely shred vegetables for soups, while a julienne blade would help me make pretty salads for parties.

Muffin Pan

I don’t make many sweet treats, so a muffin pan would primarily be used to make Egg Breakfast Muffins, aka Crustless Mini Quiches. These are fantastic to make ahead of time and grab on your way out the door in the morning.

Big Berkey Water Filter

For the ultimate in home water filtration (that’s also portable!), I’ve been dreaming of a Big Berkey Water Filter. They’re everything I hope and dream for in a water filter.

This particular one comes with ceramic filters AND fluoride filters. Plus, it filters up to 15 gallons/day. That's a lot of water, but it's easy to go through that much when you're making bone broth, kombucha, tea, and soups.

So that's my Wish List. Think I missed something? Tell me in the comments what you want to add your kitchen!

This post wraps up the “My Paleo Kitchen” series. Thanks for reading along and commenting.

May you cook well and eat even better!
